The “Boi-de-Mamão” is an expressive folkloric manifestation that occurs in Santa Catarina state in Brazil, mainly in the coastal region of the state. It involves music, dance, singing, theater, human and animal characters. It deals with the epic theme of death and resurrection of the ox. The PFP students that are currently at the ISA Summer Program in Florianopolis, Santa Catarina were able to take part in this fun event.
