Dia do Amigo 2015 was on March 18 at Herty Field. Students of Portuguese were encouraged to bring a friend to experience the Portuguese language & Brazilian cultural activities. Five classes at the 1000 and 2000 level participated. UGA’s Capoeira Maculelê demonstrated capoeira for the students, PFP recruited, and there were”marchinhas” performed in Portuguese by the students. PFP Director Dr. Robert Moser even played capoeira with a student of Portuguese (see photo above). It was a very successful event.
