On April 19th, the Portuguese Flagship Program, in cooperation with the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Institute and the Department of Romance Languages, promoted the lecture “Skipping Stones on the Creamy Lake: Translating James Tate into Portuguese.” The lecture was presented by Dr. Marcus Vinicius de Freitas, Professor of Literary Theory at Federal University of Minas Gerais, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He holds a Ph.D in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies from Brown University.
